2020 Grant Notification Update
August 11, 2020
Dear Puffin Applicants who previously applied in 2019 for a 2020 Grant,
We hope this note finds you well. In May we reached out to many of you to let you know that we were suspending our 2020 grant review process due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you requested a return of your submitted materials, and have not yet received them, we apologize for the delay. Our physical offices have been shut down and we have been unable to process any mailings. As soon as our office re-opens, we will begin returning these materials.
Later this year, we will re-open this round of grants, and you are welcome to resubmit a proposal! Please note that we are only opening up the application process in the fields of music, photography and theater to previous applicants like yourself, whose proposals we were not able to address due to the pandemic with an acceptance or formal rejection. Of course, your proposal will need to reflect the reality of our current circumstances, and take into account the possibility of ongoing restrictions on public gatherings, physical exhibitions, and the like. Puffin’s mission to support the arts and artists is more vital than ever now. As society reimagines public life, social gatherings, and the future of artistic performance and exhibition, we look forward to reading about what your work looks like at this moment, and how it can be shared.
Please make sure to check back on our website in the fall (late August/early September) for information about how and when to submit your proposal.
Yours,
Gladys Miller Rosenstein Neal Rosenstein
